Congratulations to WPCS – Frontier Campus for winning the Twin Rivers Unified School District’s annual Knowledge Bowl. It is a test of knowledge and requires teamwork. This is an academic competition open to all schools within our district in 7-8th and 9th – 12th grades. This year 9 middle schools participated. For the TRUSD Knowledge Bowl, each team is made up of 5 students and 2 alternates. The competition is held in the style of Jeopardy, with 2 rounds, each with 30 questions. Each team is given a chance to answer all questions. There are six categories with questions of varying degrees. Depending on the type of question, teams are given between 30 seconds and 1 minute to decide on their answer. If a group answers correctly, they are awarded points. At the end of the first round, we were tied for first place. However, during the 2nd round, it was back and forth between 1st and 2nd place. In the end, our students won by 20 points! Congratulations to all our participants: Sara Bergeron, Ben Chhen, James Chhen, Autumn Istre, Steph Paz, Kyle Pedercine, and Yessica Vergara. Thank you Frontier Charter families for making this year's Spaghetti Dinner a success! All of your hard work and participation is appreciated!
